One of the most appealing things about being a member of the Sailerite/alt right/whatever you want to call it bubble is the perception that victory is almost at hand: around 2020 Sauron's big black tower will collapse and the small handful of bloggers who kept the hereditarian flame alive will be hailed as heroes. I'm starting this blog for the same selfish reasons a collaborationist Frenchmen might join the Resistance in May 1944: I think I know what's coming and want there to be some proof I was on the winning team before D-Day arrives.
I first stumbled onto Steve Sailer's blog around five years ago via a link from the much more respectable gnxp. He was in trouble at the time for having written that:
"What you won’t hear, except from me, is that "Let the good times roll" is an especially risky message for African-Americans. The plain fact is that they tend to possess poorer native judgment than members of better-educated groups. Thus they need stricter moral guidance from society"
Obviously I found the paragraph disgusting (not just wrong or immoral, but disgusting, the same feeling you get when staring at a dead, maggot infested cow). I got out of the place as fast as I could, but for some reason came back to read his famous essay on interracial marriage, which converted me instantly, having said in print things I'd been secretly thinking about the subject for years. At this point I believe I'm actually more radical than Sailer on a number of counts, so his influence on me has been pretty profound.
All that gushy praise not withstanding, I don't believe Sailer has thought very hard about the world we'll live in after he and his associates are victorious. This isn't really surprising: he's more worried about getting a toehold on the beach than the bocage that lies further inland. Sailer's view on the post- multiculturalist world is announced at the top of his old website "Live not by lies," "Knowledge is good."The choice of quotes of course comes close to the Jefferson saying associated with American Renaissance:
"There is not a truth existing which I fear... or would wish unknown to the whole world."
This, I think, is a pretty stupid thing to say. Sailer is a smart guy who has learned to live with the knowledge that races are unequal in intelligence and personality without being cruel to non-whites. I think he has convinced himself that if he can do it, anyone can, but that's a load of crap. My views on this are pretty close to those expressed by the great Freddie De Boer here.
Sailer himself has said some wise things about how the left half of the Bell Curve reacts to what movie critics like to call "moral complexity". It turns that out that simple people require simple rules to live moral lives: it's not good enough to say "Stealing is wrong, except in the case of these 47 exceptions....". If the message is to sink in, you have to firmly say "STEALING IS WRONG!" and damn the exceptions. Yet Sailer himself has never written about how he expects ordinary, dumb white people to react the day they learn that blacks are even dumber than they are, and for partly genetic reasons. College educated whites may be thoroughly cowed by politically correct indoctrination, but their lower class cousins, while not publicly racist, have been barely affected and still enjoy a good nigger joke when in the company of friends.
The ridiculous leftists who are responsible for our country's ubiquitous anti-racist propaganda see this situation and assume that the propaganda isn't working: we must need more of it. But the truth is that this residual racism is an inevitable result of history, human nature, and the current sorry state of Black America. As soon as a four year old white boy is told that blacks came to this country as slaves, he mentally ranks his race as the superior and never forgets it. When he as an adult sees endless stories involving black crime on the 10 o'clock news this view is hardened. Not only this, but he knows at least a little history: he knows what color skin Newton and Darwin and Einstein all share. White nationalists often complain that whites are the only group not allowed to feel group pride; liberals always respond by noting that white pride is inherently racist. The liberals are right, but they're too embarrassed to admit why: if every social science classroom in the country had three posters listing the great achievements of white, blacks and Hispanic scientists respectively it would humiliate the minorities. White pride is criminalized because, of the all the supremacist argument put forward by racists of different colors, they have by far the best case. As a result, they have to be kept on a tight leash and for the last 50 years they have been. What happens when the leash is removed God only knows.
